Facility Tour: Rock Harbor Church, Irvine
Back in April my husband and I went to attend Rock Harbor Church one weekend when I was on break. Although we didn't get to see all of their facilities, I was able to get some pictures of the worship center and common areas. The lobby is large and open. The building itself has kind of an industrial feel. The finishes on the walls and floors fit this feel. Here's the other view of the lobby.
This is a cool counter in the lobby made of wood, which looks like a pallet. It was a newcomer's counter with literature for newcomers. I'm not sure if it's self service or if there just was no one there at the moment.
This is on the other side of the lobby and is there information center.
Just inside the lobby there is another lobby. Their values are posted up on the wall for all to see.
I am not sure of the significance of the symbols on the wall. The flooring is polished concrete, which is what my church has as well. (We are also an industrial looking facility.)
There is a featured wall with a cross and nice wood and metal work.
Another wing has doors hung on rails — that's what we have too! The open ceiling and hanging pendants fit the industrial look too. There is a lot of use of metal and wood.
This was a water feature outside or near an entrance (I don't quite recall.) It is interesting, though I am not sure what it means. It does fit one of the values of the church, creativity, which is very evident when attending there.
Perhaps some day I will get the chance to go back and explore the other parts of their facility.
